J WONDER could be primed for a return to Group 1 company following a taking success in Friday’s Group 3 Oak Tree Stakes at Goodwood.
The Brian Meehan-trained three-year-old, who landed the Fred Darling at Newbury on her seasonal reappearance, proved too free when upped to a mile in the French 1,000 Guineas and suffered a similar fate when finishing seventh in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.
