Sigh No More (2f Starspangledbanner – Silent Thoughts, by Galileo) backed up her smart maiden win with another likeable performance at Roscommon on Tuesday.
The Joseph O’Brien-trained filly flew home to land a Galway maiden on her second start earlier this month and was sent off favourite to follow up under Dylan Browne McMonagle. She overcame signs of inexperience to assert a furlong from home and ran on well to lead by a length and a quarter on the line.
A step up in class may now be on the cards for Sigh No More, who is owned by Bronsan Racing with Stride Racing. The daughter of Starspangledbanner is a half-sister to Listed winner Neptune Rock and Stakes performer Unreasonable.
